Jean-Claude Killy the infamous French skier was a triple Gold medalist who dominated the ski world in the late 60's, he was from Val D'isere and the Espace Killy ski region is named after him. Captain Jacques Cousteau as he was known, was a French naval officer, explorer, ecologist, film-maker, innovator and scientist who studied the sea and all forms of life in the water. And finally this man needs no introduction, rising to fame in arguably the most important band of all time The Beatles, John Lennon is still worshipped 21 years after he was cruelly gunned down in New York, he remains one of the World's greatest icons.
